Help with Suomy Gunwind

Just got my Suomy Gunwind helmet thru ebay for 170 USD. Now i had a Suomy Extreme and to change visors on that, i would stick a key in btwn the side covers and the visor to push the lever inside to pop the cover out. But this one doesn't have the little lever. Do i just yank the crap out of the side cover? If so, do i do it with the visor up or down? I swear, i think this things gonna break. Help!
