I recieved the new back protector today from NewEnough. Very comfortable...surprisingly comfortable. Lightweight @ 1lb 2oz.
The plastic armor on the spine portion looks like it would take a hit and do it's job or even slide over pavement and do it's job, but needs to be worn under a jacket to hold it in place up top. The belt is 4 inches wide and velcro.. one size fits all and it's true this time. A petite girl ... probably will not fit her. I'd say anyone under 5'6" it would not fit correctly. It has air perforations in it and a very soft padded liner.

Crash worthiness.. I'd say on a scale of 1-10.. i'd give it a 6 or 7. Way better than just the usuall built in jacket protection though.

New Enough is sold out of them. Price paid.. $35 total shipped.

I just saw this one at MotorcycleSuperstore... it looks like it is more better protection for just a little more money. I like the shoulder straps it has.

I haven't tried it though. It says for dirt protection riding..but it looks great for street riding.
