| Your Dream Helmet Ok, if you could buy any helmet you wanted which one would it be. Post a picture of it
Mine will still be the Scorpion EXO 700 or maybe the EXO 1000. If Vemar helmets were still available maybe a silver painted one made of carbon fiber. Scorpion on the left view, Vemar carbon on the right. Also here is a nice thread on a review of a Vemar helmet. Apparently now they are only available in European standard. They used to be available in the US with a DOT and/or SNELL standard.

| Re: Your Dream Helmet Son of a gun... the Vemar is DOT approved. I want to try one on. I'm really liking the red VSR2 in the photo of that web bike world link.
BTW, i think the paint is ChromeIllusions and a Dupont paint store can mix it up for anyone. |

| Re: Your Dream Helmet can't say I've found anything better than my Suomy Extreme. fits my noggin very well, comfortable, cool, and I can get my glasses in with ease unlike some other helmets. only downside is its noisy.

| Re: Your Dream Helmet Well, I can't really say what a dream helmet for me would be...I think I have the best helmet out there right now, for my head shape...and that helmet is the Shark RSR2. Very comfortable and light, to the point where I even forget I have it on sometimes. I especially love how they design their helmet's EPS liner with crush zones. As a Shark rep said, "in a crash, the helmet will protect you but it gives it's life to do it." I can live with that, especially if it lets me live with that.
As for a dream helmet, maybe my RSR2 with an internal visor and the Reebok pump-style cheek pads like a Scorpion EXO-1000. But with an optically correct internal visor, unlike the EXO-1000, and with the pump type feature only around the bottom of the pads, to act similar to the chin curtain most helmets have in front.
And a dark smoke visor that looks like a dark smoke from the outside but works like a high contrast (amber) visor from the inside?
With built-in chatterbox/bluetooth functionality?
Yeah, I think that will be all for now. |
