Anybody tried the CrossGel seat cushion?

I just bought a sargeant seat and find it to be much better than stock. But I stumbled upon this CrossGel seat cushion and wonder if anybody has tried it yet. I did a search to see if it has already been posted and did not find anything. I guess I am a little paranoid now. Oh well, here is the link. CrossGel

Sorry ULEWZ, I don't have any personal experience with that padding but it looks like the shiznit. I do, hovever, get a tremendous kick out of how paranoid everyone is of killing a kitten these days . I'm a cat lover, but let's face it, these kitty deaths are only virtual . I think I'm gonna start killing 'em on purpose now.

My kitty is the best. He has killed a sparrow, a big fat rat, and just yesterday a humming bird. He always brings his kills to the door and after we see it, he leaves with it in his mouth. Is this a cool cat or what?

I used to have a cat that did the same thing - way cool. It's like they want attention as to what a great hunter they are. I had one that routinely brought baby bunnies (dead) to the back patio door, meowing her ass off until I acknowleged her prowess. The next morning the torso was always there - she only ate the head! Sick, I know, but I always got a perverse kick out of it.

It's really hard to argue with something that's this comfortable, is cheaper and more readily available than most replacement seats, goes with you to events/car/home/etc, and goes on any bike, that is, is independent of the machine.

It's this...or a different bike. I have no clue what's going on (age perhaps?), but the supersport crouch is killing me lately, back, buns, etc.

I'm 44, and the only thing that bothers me is the leathers bunching up and pinching me behind my knees. My back doesn't hurt anymore (I wear a kidney belt), my wrists are ok as long as the twisties don't last more than 100 miles, and my butt is no longer burning (thanks sargeant seat). YMMV

Interesting stuff, ULEWZ.

Most of my problem (beyond just getting a little bit older) lies with my size. I'm a long legged 6'3' and even the moderately located 954 pegs (by supersport standards anyway) can cause some discomfort w/o occasional dismounts.

Since adopting riding gear (pants included), I too suffer from material bunching behind my knees and the subsequent discomfort that goes along with it.

Wrists and neck never bother me.

I dunno. I see OHOHO's FJR, various ST's running around town, a stray FZ-1 or two...and I get to wishing my body was a little better suited for such a relatively small machine as the CBR9.

I think that most riders 6' and taller, as they get older, find the CBR to be a little uncomfortable. There is a flip side though. I also have a VFR which is very comfortable, but I can ride the CBR much, much faster. The brakes on the CBR are phenominal and the low riding position makes fast turns with heavy leaning a simple effort. I went all the way to the edge on my CBR tires the first day I took it into the twisties. Now that I am using an Arata map with my PCIIIr, the power is very manageable. I like the suspension so far, except the freeway pitching, which sucks. Next year I will concentrate on the suspension. I am going to the track (Willow springs) on the 29th, so a new avitar will be in order and I will see how the bike does. If you find a trick that keeps the comfort level up, please share again, like the Airhawk.
