| Re: Size 14 sport boots--finally! After over a year of looking, emailing, calling, etc., etc., I finally got a pair of sport boots (with ankle support, toe sliders, etc.) in my size (US 14, Euro 50). These are possibly the only pair in the US. I've been emailing & calling Alpinestars' US office--they just emailed me today that they'll offer 'a new boot similar to the SMX' in the larger sizes (up to Euro50) in the US in late August or early September. I replied back that I already got a pair from a retailer in the UK.
The label on the box says 'SMX 3' while the boot just says SMX--not sure what the 'official' name will be. There are vents on the side & in the shin plate, and a velcro tab on the end of the zipper pull to keep it in place. Pic #1 Pic #2 |

| Re: Size 14 sport boots--finally! Nice..... What did you pay for them? And FWIW, Oxtar makes some 49's that fit my size 15 (Nike) nice... Im about to get my second pair, this time some of the waterproof ones.

| Re: Size 14 sport boots--finally! I think I paid about $245 after the conversion, plus shipping (ouch!.
I usually wear 14's (15's in Nike). I've tried Oxtar size 49--they fit, but they're pretty snug. I was about to get them, but they were on backorder for another month (in all colors). Then I looked at a couple UK websites, and found these. I've also tried Sidi Vertebra II's in 49, and they're even a little smaller than the Oxtars. |

| Re: Size 14 sport boots--finally! I wear size 13 (US) shoes and Alpinestars 48 (Euro/UK) fit pretty well, and they weren't the easiest to find in stock. |

| Re: Size 14 sport boots--finally! For further choice Gaerne Shockwaves exist in 49s (black only) as do their Strada Sprints ( I know the website only says 48 though). These boots are both a pretty large fit. Similarly if you can handle how ugly they are Daytona Clubmans are a pretty large 49 as well. All 3 of these boots seemed to feel bigger than a 50 I tried in another brand.
And if youre at a store and the fit is borderline try a second pair. Personal experience shows theres often a mm or three difference btw identically sized boots. Also if desperate a lot of boots (like the Sprints above) have removeable liners that may give you a touch more room. Id kill (or at least maim) a few people if it would mean few of these boots or similar went to 52 because things are still quite snug...... |
