Slap a dark smoke or iridium shield on there for the daytime
Now that's Badass
And take your pic of brands man shsrk has some awesome helmets so does suomy and arai. why spend 250 on shades when you can spend 350 to 500 and get fantatstic protection and kickass looks all in one package. |

| Re: Eye protection! So now that we have determined that the sunglasses aren't for the bike I'll say that I'm on my third pair of Smith Sequel's. They fit my face perfectly and stick without "sticking." I can play ultimate frisbee and be dripping sweat and they don't go anywhere. They come with three sets of lenses (mirrored smoke, rose, and yellow) for about $100. I use them for everything from skiing, shooting, driving, whatever. I can say with all honesty that I have never once worn them on the bike though. However, if they don't fit your face perfectly then you won't be as happy. Try on plenty of them and find something that fits. I'd still recommend Smith, mostly because they are based in my home state of Idaho. I also have three sets of Smith ski goggles, I've had one them for about 13 years now and they are still going strong.

| Re: Eye protection! Wow, I'm bummed, they've changed the entire line-up since the last time I looked. I'm sure they are still great but I guess I'd better not let anything happen to this pair. "Technically" mine are the Smith Sequel II Sliders, crystal fuel color. The "slider" in the name is to designate the fact that the lenses are swappable. From looking at the new ones mine look a lot like the Interlock 01 except the temples on the frame are thinner like the Toasters.
Edit: The more I look at them mine are much more like the Toasters than the Interlock 01. At least they still have replacement lenses available for mine. Since the person who stole mine didn't get the replacement lenses I actually have five sets of lenses for mine.

| Re: Eye protection! The Smith Factor Max, Theory, Reactor Max and VT-1 are more like the Radars if that's more what you are looking for. The Radar's you only get one set of lenses and if you want something different you have to spend another $155 dollars for a second set. Any of the Smith ones that I mentioned you get extra sets of lenses and you can order more from about 15 different choices in every color combo, mirror combo, polarized, non-polarized, etc. I love the fact that I only have to carry the one set of glasses but I'm ready for just about everything.
Edit: I just counted and for the Factor Max for example they have 18 different lens choices and 17 of them are in stock. All of the non-polarized are $20 each and the polarized are $60 each. That's all in addition to the three/four sets that come with them anyway.

| Re: Eye protection! This is where I get all of my outdoor gear. Also based near me. Smith V Ti InterchangeableSunglasses - Platinum Lens - Free Shipping! from Backcountryoutlet.com
They have them for $101 but only in red or blue, not the red and white.
I probably have averaged $1000 a year in outdoor gear from them over the last couple years and have 0 complaints. I've even had to return stuff and it was taken no questions asked. My reason was "I didn't like it."
Here are the exact pair on eBay for $89, NIB with the polarized lenses. Smith V-TI Interchangeable Polarized Sunglasses $180 - eBay (item 200217896221 end time Apr-27-08 17:50:01 PDT)

| Re: Eye protection! I have a pair of Bolle sunglasses that stayed put when skiing. The lenses are interchangeable, too. Other than that, I do like my Oakley Juliets, but yeah, they are pricey. I have a less expensive pair of Minutes, too. I do like Oakley's customer service. The side piece on my Minutes broke (out of warranty) and they replaced it for 25 bucks. That sure beat having to buy a new pair. They turned them around quickly, too. |

| Re: Eye protection! I have a pair of Juliets I bought 3 years ago, need to get the lenses replaced now but thats to be expected. My only issue is the don't fit under my helmet.
I hate toting a clear screen along in case I am out after dark. I prefer sunglasses under my helmet personally. Might have to give a pair of those smiths a try. Saw a blue pair on fleabay for $69 |
