Shoei Helmet Owners Help!

I have the rf1000 in black and I need larger cheek pads. I currently have the 35MM and was wondering, for owners who have either had to change sizing or also buy additional cheek inserts how much larger should I go? How much of a difference in 2 or 4MM?

Re: Shoei Helmet Owners Help!

What size is your helmet?

When I first got my RF-1000 it was large but fit nearly the same as my medium RF-900. It was just a little loose in side to side movement. Everywhere else it felt just as good as the 900. I got the 39mm pads since they are for a small helmet. The fit was then perfect!
The difference in 2mm and 4mm can be as little as being able to wear glasses with the helmet and not being able to.
