You think they would work on a sportbike? If this has been asked before, sorry.

I think it has been discussed, but the guy who was going to buy it never posted his feedback.

I recently used one to take the engine out of a '72 VW Beetle, and it was well suited for that purpose. I don't think it would be appropriate for a sport bike because:
1. You'd have to build some kind of cradle in order to avoid putting too much weight / stress on the exhaust or the plastic.
2. Even if you did, there's too much lateral motion in the lifting mechanism, and it would scare the crap out of you.
3. You have to use the 'frame locks' to hold it securely in position, and they're not necessarily at the right heights.
4. The valve that you use to lower the thing is placed in exactly the right position to take off a couple of fingers if it comes down fast.... and it does. The neighbor I borrowed ot from had modified this and warned me about it SEVERAL times.A friend of his used it for a HardleyDawdleson and got pinned, with no one around, and he couldn't reach his beer. No serious damage, I hear.

Ive used mine several times on both my 929 and 954 after removing the lowers. If you have enough common sense to figure out how to attach the tie-downs there is almost zero lateral motion. In fact I have left my bike unattended on the jack for 2 days while getting new tires mounted. I have no stands so this is the only alternative for me. And for $50 the jack was about a third of the price of stands. My 2 cents.
