Spartan Leathers

New to the site, but was wondering if anyone had checked out these leathers. Its a guy from my area that is the owner/designer and they seem really cool, cheap and custom fit to boot.

Just thought I'd pass along a good find.

Re: Spartan Leathers

Check out this review from Jim's Leathers I found on the site.

"I have been in the leather industry for over 22 years now. Having extensive experience in all aspects of racing leathers, I was asked to take a look at some new leathers coming to market.

After thoroughly examining these leathers I can with all confidence say that they are made of top quality materials ... from the leather ,to the armor to the lining & threads. Not only are they made of good stuff, but they are designed for comfort & saftey.

I will recommend these suit to anyone looking for a top quality suit, best of all at the price they are asking it seems that most riders could buy 2. Having a back up suit in a pinch always helps.

Re: Spartan Leathers

I just emailed him (Dave with Spartan). Wow.....I got a fast response. This is what he said when I asked him about the seat padding.

"I can pretty much get anything you want done.
Just let me know, and if it's gonna cost extra, I'll get you a price for it."

Re: Spartan Leathers

if you buy a set post a review. im shopping leathers too, they look nice and the price is low enough to keep me from pulling the trigger as id expect to pay more than that for a quality custom made to order race suit. but hey you could be on to something here.

Re: Spartan Leathers

He is on a local forum here in Louisville, KY and I have checked out a few of his suits and know people that have bought them. They do seem VERY nice and top quality. Evidently he has really low overhead and since he is pretty new, he has his stuff priced at a level that will get them into the market. I will post up my review when I get a set, but right now I have a set that is working for me, but as soon as I get the $$ or need a suit, they will definately have my business.

i was reading alot about the suits on svrider today. so far most say its top quality stuff comparable to mid level $600-1200 ish range. made to order is also a good selling point. its under serious consideration for me now. i may have to drop an email soon.

Re: Spartan Leathers

I found the page where the first review from Jim Leathers came from. Pretty cool and there is a quote from Alexa too. She is supposed to know what is going on, that's for sure.

Re: Spartan Leathers

Whats up?

Sorry man, bike is still apart getting fitted with the track plastics. I should be done in another week or so and ready to ride. The only other thing I want to do is get my forks reworked, so the bike may be down for a while then as well.

Hopefully we will be able to hit it soon.
