CCS is the org that doesn't have any restrictions on novices and what they can run. I didn't know WERA would let you mix though (that would be cool if they let you do that).

Yeah, I suppose we could have been running some different tires. As it was, we were using Pilot Race 2's (S2 front, M2 rear). The front looks pretty good for a soft compound. It still has some decent tread left although I wouldn't want to bet my bike and my body on its ability to really grip the track any longer. The rear is totally gone though. The right side of the tire is almost devoid of any tread and the left side looks like something was up with suspension (the tire looks torn kind of, which is odd since Nelson only has 2 left turns and one of them is pretty short). I suppose a set of the endurance compound Renns would have held up to the abuse a little better by sacrificing a little bit of overall grip.
