Here is the almost finished bodywork for my '03 600RR. Can't wait to get it all finished and back on the bike. ......

I don't think that number plate is big enough.

Yeah, if he was really confident, he would only make it large enough for a "1" to fit.

I know, so why did you put that big ugly numberplate on your tank .

So, I'm guessing it doesn't meet up to your standards? I'm just going to be a slow rookie backmarker anyway .

Re: Race bike paint is almost finished....

Number plate size aside, the paint looks nice to me. You sprayed that yourself? My compliments.

What I really want to know, however, is... what the hell is that flamed thing with polished frame in the background?

Edit: See 3rd pic.

Lol. Thanks Chain. The guy that rides that bike is actually the one whom painted my stuff. He's actually a good rider...Street, track, P-bikes, and dirt. He's also a newer staff member for STT Western Region under the direction of Todd (Calsportbike.com).

He was trying some new stuff on his paint.

numberplate on the tank? OK, I give up . . . wtf are you talking about?

BTW, just kidding, as most of the racing organizations require pretty large sized backgrounds. My only question is won't you be starting as a novice (yellow background)?

I know you were just fooling .

I was told by several people that race WSMC that it's ok for a novice racer to use the white, so I figured I'd go with the white, and put on a yellow sticker if needed they were wrong.

That is true, but the numbers must be 8"

you need some sharper colors too.

WSMC allows 7" numbers.

And yes, you can run a white plate as a novice in WSMC because they run separate novice races.

You are correct Sir. I always get the 8" because the store is always out of the 7". Yellow plates would help the expert riders when passing that your a novice and, will give you more room in the Sunday morning practice after you get your license on Saturday new racer school. The month after you might have some expert or pro's jump in the 500-650 instead of the pro-only class for Saturday practice so look out.
