New US made GP-A rears

Anyone know the scoop on the new GP-A tires that are US made? They are going for $259 a set whereas the GP/GP-A with the UK rear is going for $309 a set.

Anyone got any feedback from them? I have heard good things!

Prolly Sport Tire Services, the Dunlop dudes---I have heard that they are fine, a buddy had some "issues" with the US front---but supposedly they got that sorted--I think they are all 180s---you still need to do Bristish for the 190s---ask Terry

Re: New US made GP-A rears

yep, thats what I am hearing, 180s made in the US only. still gotta go UK for the 190 rear.

And yeah, $259 was with rts. If I can find the link from yesterday I'll post it up. And thats for a US/US 120/180, $309 for a US/UK 120/180...

Re: New US made GP-A rears

Didn't know the new 180 rears were out.....I know the 190s dots are new. I do know the UK fronts cost more. There was a first gen US front that was alot shorter than the UK model...I found out about clearence issues the hard way! The 259$ price maybe the first gen US fronts. Watch out! I was paying 309$ for new, new US front and 180 rear. 349$ for a UK front & 180.

If you want a straight answer call racetireservice.com, east distributor.

The hot ticket is the new 190/60 rear or is it a 65?! ..same size as the 195/70 slick. You will drop your lap times after adjusting for the giant tire! 13mm taller than the 180 gpa. I love it!

Anybody need 180 takeoffs?

Re: New US made GP-A rears

IMHO the US rear is a waste of money. I got less than a full track day out of the one I purchased, and had a couple big slips on it, one of which almost led to a crash . Stick with the UK rear.........all puns intended

What compound did you get? 748 (soft) is way to soft for me and will get greasy. 240 is recommended exspecially on a liter.

240 = hard or the 'more durable compound' as the dunlop man state's it.

I believe it was the soft one, I'll have to go look.
