| Re: Honda RS 125 Race report WSMC I love to race. My racing career is not even a year old, and I really love this sport. The problems I had with learning to ride a 125gp bike, and getting the set up right has been a fun, but costly learning experience (I cooked two cylinders in one weekend). I was felling very good about this race weekend because I just got a complete (MCE Racing) motor rebuild & new clutch the bike also was up HP 36.9 to 38.4. I didn't do a Saturday practice so the two Sunday Morring practice would have to do. I got to do two practice starts in the hot pit lane not to great, but I was atleast moving. OK to the race I was grid 7th out of 12 racers 0-500cc novice. Once again I got a bad start I was still sitting at the start line when the leaders are in turn 2. I get rolling and I'm off passing 4 racers going into t3 I catch and pass another on an RS 125 by t6. I was able to catch up to an RS 250 on the next lap but took the out side line into t2 and was able to get side by side, but was not able to pass safely till T8 on the out side. I could see the leaders down the front straight coming out of T9, but it would take me four whole laps before catching up to the 6th & 7th down the straight riders on the last lap I was able to pass one into T1 I don't think I used the brakes and was able to get side by side with another RS 250 and was able to pass this time. I was able to hold on to the 5th spot till the checkered. Not my best finish 4th at WSMC but I was having a lot of fun and I guess that's all that counts. You could check it out on the link 500cc Lightweight Novice 5th * * * * * http://venus.13x.com/roadracingworld/index.html |

| That's what I was thinking TB. Codered, knowing nothing about 125cc racebikes, are the starts more difficult because of small engine displacement (lack of low end torque) and gearing? |

Yes 38.4HP at 12,000rpm so you have to keep it pined open to get a good start, and just feed it the clutch for ever. *I'm just not good at it yet that was only my 7th race. *I've placed 4th,5th,7th,10th,12th and two DNF's one crash, and the other I forgot to turn on the fuel. * * This bike is a blast draging my knee through every turn at willow makes the biggest smile on my face. *Passing larger CC bikes in the turns is the best, and I'm very large to be on this bike 6' 205lb I out weigh the bike by 40lb. |

| He had some wild body work for it too. The upper covered the front wheel. He also said he would change cains after two runs becouse they would just rust so much he could not use them. |
