#31 | | | Re: Hey Abtech.... Here's the Buttonwillow thread I believe you are speaking of...... Buttonwillow pics.
How is that any kind of excuse? You asked me what my times were, and I told you I didn't know. You were the one that asked for my times.
One other thing, I don't see the spewing of any "incessant crap" anywhere in my posts, you got me on this one, and I admit it wasn't a good call on my part, but you can't honestly say that sharing my track day experiences with people has anything to do with this blunder just because you previously asked me about my times. You are like my "EX" wife.... once I broke my Jeep while out playing in the nearby hills.....when she divorced me, she said "You were always braking the Jeep!" LMAO.
Anyway, you are Great, & I'm a slowa$$ wannabe racer, may we move on please?
EDIT: Posted before your last reply.
What's wrong with sharing my track day pictures & experiences with others? I happen to have friends on all the boards you mentioned, most of them aren't on as many as you & I .

Here we go .........
-Streets of Willow: 2 track days
-Big track: 2 track days, and 1 race school with three sessions, & 3 practice starts, & 2 Sunday practice sessions.
-T-hill: 1 track day
-Buttonwillow: 1 track day
-Grattan: 3 consecutive track days.
-Pahrump: 2 track days
Not in that order.
So now your going to say that I'm too green huh? Whatever dude, everyone has to start somewhere, & I passed the new racers school at the top of the class with no problems whatsoever (not bragging, just fyi to help you with your case).
EDIT: I'm off for work, and am looking forward to your teachings....every little bit helps .

| Re: Hey Abtech.... I'm not fast at all. At Grattan Speed started in the Intermediate group, and was passing me like I was standing still. I think I was doing better than half to 3/4 of the novice guys that were out there. But maybe not.
Just for some kind of reference....
As you were.

| Re: Hey Abtech.... Just to set the record straight, Speed was by far the fastest .org member on the track (present company excepted, along with Boo and Nick), and was able to dial in a pretty obtuse track in a matter of hours.
I certainly haven't seen him run at Willow, but I expect he would be running in the top 3 of the amateur classes without much problem.
I have to laugh at all of the "timer" readings, as my XT regularly shows me running 17's at Grattan while I know my best laps are in the 25's based on past experience (and race results). Interestingly, Trackoholics has ruled that XT timers will no longer be allowed for the teaching staff, as there have been a few premature "getoffs" based on someone reading a suspicious "fast time" and thinking they were closing in on the lap record ( ).
Please try and keep in mind that everyone has to start somewhere and Speed is definitely well on his way . . . |

If you really want to go fast, you need to buy some of my 954 go-fast performance parts from the For Sale section.
Gixxer.com had a thread that looked almost exactly like this one! |
