Damon Buckmaster will race his factory Yamaha YZF-R6 Supersport bike in this weekend’s Willow Springs Motorcycle Club (WSMC) event at Willow Springs International Raceway, in Rosamond, California.

Buckmaster practiced Friday at the track with a full data acquisition system installed on his YZF-R6 and factory team mechanics working on his bike.

Asked if he was going to compete in the club races, Buckmaster told Roadracingworld.com, “Of course. We’re just here to have a bit of fun and try some thing out. There’s always something to try.”

Buckmaster’s Superstock Team Owner Chuck Graves, a WSMC regular, is also preparing to race this weekend. Graves rode a YZF-R1 in Friday’s practice session.

Other top professionals expected to race this weekend at Willow Springs are: Vincent Haskovec, Chris Ulrich, Jeremy Toye, Chris Peris and Jason Perez.

Having professional riders compete in their races during the winter months is nothing new to WSMC racers. Riders who have raced with WSMC during winters past include: Aaron Gobert, Anthony Gobert, Tommy Hayden, Tony Meiring and Josh Hayes, among others.

* Buckmaster was looking great out there yesterday!

Re: Buckmaster To Race With WSMC At Willow Springs This Weekend

Yeah Chuck Graves has won more races at Willow then any other rider at that track, And that weekend he just couldnt seem to get that factory R1 Superbike to catch or local boy Jason Perez on his privateer owned R1.. Did i mention Jason is only like 19 or so...

Chuck was looking great out there too, it's just that Perez was a madman on a mission. Definately worth the price of admission.

Nope. I'm sitting here with two broken bones, was hoping to race next month, but the rod they stuck in my leg isn't working too good.

sounds kind of like an art thing.
there was an episode of The Family Guy where he was taking some art classes and it went through 3 classes and he just said one thing each time. "Do I have to draw the penis. Do I have to sculpt the penis. D-d-do I paint with my penis"
