Warbird Racing's Maiden Flight

I will be doing 1 of 3 mini-endurance races w/ Fasttrax this Saturday at Nelson Ledges. If anyone wants to stop out I'd like to meet you. Race starts at 1:30.

If you are not familair w/ how the "Mini-endurace" works, it's one rider, for 30 mins. duh. They are having 3 races, w/ enough time in between each for fuel and a drink, but I'm only going to do one as I'm scrambling a bit to get my bike ready as it is and I want to feel it out before I jump in head first.

Nah, he's just reevaluating his life and seriously considering selling the bike, won't make it to Gratten and has taken up mini-endurance racing. I don't think you're the confused one, slowpoke.

Just think of all the seat time you're going to miss at Grattan.

Good luck

LOL, I'm busted. Doing this race will be about 1/10 of the cost of going to Grattan b/c the track is so close.

Re: Warbird Racing's Maiden Flight

For those that care: Did the 30 min Mini-Endurance on Saturady and finished 7th out of 14. I was 3 laps down from the leader who was really really good. There was no distinction between expert and novice, so basically I got my ass handed to me.

The goal since this was my first seat time at all this year was to get some track time, shake off the rust, have fun, get more familiar w/ a bike that is still brand new, and come home w/ myself and the bike in one piece.

All were accomplished and I'm a happy boy.

For the record, fearj was smokin' and just missed out on 3rd in the middleweight race, and put up a good fight against the heavyweights on his R6 to take 7th.

For 75 bucks it's hard to beat. I'll be back.

Re: Warbird Racing's Maiden Flight

Yea, notice how I went from first (lap 0) to 6 by lap 1. Funny stuff. I was gridding in 3rd and did well on the holeshot, but got passed by half the field going into T2 b/c I suck so bad.

Also, notice how I finished second to last. The only reason I was 7/14 is b/c all the others DNF'd.

Oh well. I'll do better next time.

You still beat them. Any finish is better than a DNF.

True enough. And like I said, I wasn't really looking to be competitive so the fact that I made it home in one piece w/ a benchmark in hand is enough success for me.
