Are tinted windscreens allowed at trackdays?

Just reading over the manual and there's no mention of it. I don't want to get left out on a technicality. Is a dark smoke DB going to present a problem? I see through it quite well in the daytime.

Also is masking tape ok to use or do you need to use duct tape for the lenses? I'm hoping the masking tape route would work as it's easier to apply and remove with less residue (I think?).

Yes, it is fine with any of the organizers that I know.

Oh, and get the duct tape... As long as you pull the fues to the Headlights and unplug the tail lights, it wont stick at all if you remove it after you are through riding.

I don't see a problem with a tinted screen. And ditto on the duct tape, I'd use that, it'll come off easier. Any remaining residue (and I never have much) is easily removed with Honda Spray Cleaner and Polish.
You'll have a blast!

Tinted screens are ok. I use plastic tape (electrician's tape) and it works great without the goo!

I used a blue "7 Day Tape". It's more like masking tape than duct tape. Doesn't leave a residue but sticks just fine while you need it. You won't have a problem with a tinted windscreen.

And for those organizations that don't allow anything that looks like, or is, masking or painter's tape, lay down some duct tape on top of the masking/painter's tape.

Or get some "racers" tape. Looks like electrical tape but doesn't leave that residue on your lights even if you leave them on. Usually have that stuff at performance auto parts stores.
