| Re: Zoltman racing ride report 4/29/06 Z, very sorry to hear about this, but glad it wasn't any worse. Perhaps there was something on the track like a bit of water or oil and tire slipped, then caught again.
Give it a few days to clear your head and then start putting the bike back together. Everything will fall back into place . . . |

| Re: Zoltman racing ride report 4/29/06 Darn, dude, you had a mighty tough crash. Hopefully nothing's broken although if you can't put any weight on your foot you may as well have broken it.
Now on to the good news. I have your "Grattan plan" all worked out. Here's what you'll need to do.
1. Get a butt cushion ring and tape it to your seat. That'll help cushion your bruised dupa.
2. Get lots of duct tape...for the bodywork and you. You know the 50 /50 rule so no one will know if it's duct tape anyway. Then there will be folks who will be able to help tape you onto your bike and untape you to get off. Hmmmm...maybe you'll just need to be taped on once and they'll just put you on a stand and then just roll you off of it when it's time to ride. Kinda like the kiddie toys with the motorcycle rider that's permanently attached to your bike.
3. Hook up a suicide shifter so your bad foot doesn't have to work since it'll probably be quite sore still.
4. Get better.
hee hee...couldn't resist. Get everything checked out thoroughly and get lots of rest. You have a couple of months to get ready, no whimping out. Look at Abtech for example....he doesn't let a little bit of pain stop him from riding. |

Give it a few days to clear your head and then start putting the bike back together. Everything will fall back into place . . . | We've had lots of rain in the last week so the track was definitely green. There were also some fresh patches in T13, and T1 as well. I experienced some sliding there too.
My head is in good shape...if my physical condition allowed and I had a bike to ride I'd be right back out there. Absolutely no ill effects on the mental end...in regards to the crash anyway
Wrist is much better today. Still some discomfort, but manageable for sure. Foot is doing better, the swelling is down and it has a little more of a gray tint to it now than black/blue My bum is still sore, but doing ok as well. Shoulder on the other hand is hurting pretty bad, gonna go get some x-rays and get it looked at by my buddy.
Thanks for the good wishes folks.... |

| Re: Zoltman racing ride report 4/29/06 Well, as of now my camera is MIA Looks like everything is out of the van...not sure what happened to it. I remember seeing my dad put it in its case, he has no recollection of it whatsoever I had quite a few pics on there from the pits.
I went and looked at the bike again and I'm almost positive my forks are bent. On the one side the left fork's top is flush with the tree, on the other it's not. Steering damper also got ripped out of the frame, but that can probably be fixed. *sigh* |

Sorry to hear Z. Maybe fix it on the cheap with used OEM parts for the time being, and heal fast.
Dee did your wife hijack your account? You can't let them into this world, look what happened with TB.

| Re: Zoltman racing ride report 4/29/06 I already got rearsets and clipons on the way It's gonna be some weeks before I can turn any wrenches, methinks. I have ~6 weeks 'til the next race. Hopefully I can be ready by then. Depends how bad the forks are bent |

| Re: Zoltman racing ride report 4/29/06 Great news!!! I'm always happy when folks don't need used OEM parts regarding bone, feet, wrists or shoulders.
Take it easy and get the bike fixed. We have an important Fireblades.org meeting in June that you are expected to attend. See you there! |

| Re: Zoltman racing ride report 4/29/06 Welcome to the club, brother.
Make sure you post up what parts you need. I got a lot of pay it forward to do for everyone that helped me out after my lowside. I know a couple of guys with 600RRs (not including BDA who should have tons of castoff) with extra parts laying around.
Glad it's all just owwie's and nothing major. | | |
