| Re: Zoltman racing ride report 4/29/06 You can bolt up the whole front end just fine, and I'd assume it would be alright for supersport as it is still OEM RR parts.
But that would be a good thing to check out. |

I wonder if you had one of the 'slide moments' we talked about with the 002s |

I wonder if you had one of the 'slide moments' we talked about with the 002s | You know, the thought crossed my mind but I don't know. The speed at which the back tire spun up and I got tossed would make that seem a bit of a stretch. Not impossible though I guess |

Oh and 190 on a 600? | Never had that happen to me nor do I remember seeing it happen in person.... maybe only the fast guys
Yes, works great!!

How about those DOT209GP Dunlop's, 190 rear of course. More grip than I was capable of using right now. Its just amazing how far tire technology has come."

I was dissapointed when he crashed at Barber. I was really pushing for him to finish well just cause I know who he is cause of you CA guys.
and ND if it means anything to ya I bounced my Erion off the frame slider on the ground and its still in tact. Intuitive Racing Wish it bounced off the other side too instead of the case cover.

Pretty much all the very fast (a couple of local guys run SS European championship) 600 racers here run 190 nowadays. The 190/60 Dunlop seems to be the ticket at the moment, but I believe 190/55 DOT's from other manufacturers are used quite frequently too. |

| Re: Zoltman racing ride report 4/29/06 Why is that? Doesn't the 190 slow turn in? I get the bigger contact patch and all that, but I really like the flickability of my bike. And I'm really not a fan of Dunflops. |

Also, you can adjust for faster turn in by lowering the front or raising the rear.
Furthermore, how much is your confidence worth in speed Mr. Highside? Racing is a head game, IMO. It's 90% confidence...or lack thereof.

j/k
I'm guessing you are "judicious" in your adjustments you'd be okay. It's all about trade offs right? |

HD | I never had a confidence problem with my bike or my abilities once I put new rubber on. My rear tire had a confidence problem with T13. |

But what about now? How are you going to feel the next time you go through T13. Also, just b/c you have x level of confidence, doesn't mean x+1 isn't better. |
