| Re: High Rock International Raceway My folks live about 10 minutes from where they are planning to build it. They say there is a lot of resistance to it. Probably because it's not NASCAR related. |

If you've ever crossed that deathtrap of a bridge on I-85 over the Yadkin River between Lexington and Salisbury, you saw the site on the west side of the river where the deserted mill now stands.
I think it would be great, but there isn't much local support for it. Now if they were putting in an oval, that would be a different story. Not slamming NASCAR, just the mentality of my former neighbors (born and raised VERY close to there). |

So they aren't resisting it? Just not supporting it? Looks like a great facility and since I am moving about an hour and a half from there, it would certainly be convenient for me! |
