Tracks in the Mid-West?

I am thinking about moving to Kentucky sometime in the future and I am curious about what tracks would be in a reasonable range from the Louisville/Lexington areas?
If anyone has a source for a list of tracks or anything of that nature that would be great. I am familiar with the Virginia to Florida tracks but I dont know of any in the Mid-West.
Thanks.
