Shark Fin (Rear Sprocket Guard)

Should one get one of these for the off chance of getting your hand cought in the sprocket during a crash?

ie Graves Motorsports :: Graves Motorsports Shark Guard Yamaha R6 (2006)

Definite yes , a friend lost the tips of two fingers in a raceing accident he got his hand caught in rear sprocket
