I don't think Bob and company are strictly in this for the sport. The question is, and what point do you take some of that profit and put it back in the track? What's the pressure? Riders will still come and pay, it's all up to how professional of a track the owners want to own. | $175?? I paid almost $300 2 yrs ago. |

| Re: WERA Boycotters at Nelson Ledges You guys are confusing Fasttrax ownership w/ Nelson ownership.
And CBR929EE hit the nail on the head. There is overhead.
Like I said, I don't know the number. Nor do I pretend to. 7500 bucks is merely hearsay until I hear from either Todd/Carol or the Nelson ownership.
Even then we don't know what insurance costs are.

I haven't been back there since I broke my leg, no f*cking way would I pay $300 for Nelson Ledges. It's not THAT nice.
Yea, barely making profit, my ass. |

you're paying that money to the trackday organizer not to the track itself. any profit there goes to the organizer not the track owners.

I think you're both confusing this track as some big corporate business. This started out like a little Ma and Pa operation, little short track in the sticks. I don't know if Bob Stanley still owns the majority, but I'm guessing he does. His wife hands out the certificates, collects the money, passes out shirts, etc.
The "school" is a freakin' BARN!!!
Unless there's been some serious changes to the buildings, new construction, etc.
This isn't Barber, or MidOhio, or VIR, etc.

I've watched more friends than I'd like to get loaded onto choppers at SAFE racetracks.
We don't need bullshit facilities like Nelson Ledges with preventable safety problems just so people like you feel racing is more exciting. |

Fasttrax is the name of the organization Bob started, it has nothing to do with the track other than location. |

O....K.......
So if Fasttrax only gets a small piece of the pie, who owns Nelson Ledges Race Course if not the Stanley family?
BTW - I didn't know Bob had a stroke, condolences to his family. |
