Re: Need hints for prepping an F4i for racing.

Im helping DWC392 get his F4i race ready and I ran into a couple of things that I am unsure on. He ordered a set of Armour Bodies plastic and we are going to mount it tomorrow. One thing we ran into is that the tilt sensor is mounted to the head light assembly on this bike. Where do we need to move it to and how do we mount it where it will be stable? I have looked for a racing fairing stay and cant find one for the F4i.

Also, he got Dzus fastensers for connecting the upper tot he lower, and Im guessing that we need to drill holes for the lower rear mounts, the upper fairing stay mounts (mirrors... do we need to do one or both mirror holes?)

Any help and insight would be greatly appreciated from those that have done this before.
Thanks,
Chris

Sorry can't help with the rest, but I would drill two mirror mount holes so you can run a ziptie through them to hold the bodywork to the fairing stay.

I drilled 2 holes in the upper fairing to mount it. but dont zip-tie it. On it there should be 2 holes or mounting points. Use some OEM mounting screws like those used on the windscreen and bolt it on.

I drilled ot the holes for the lower fairing and used the stock bolts. As for the mirrors....one for each will work, but depends on the mirror bracket cover that you are going to use. if it has a place for two bolts on each side drill them both but be aware not to break the plactic when drilling.

For the mirror holes, drill both, and there is somebody on here that makes and sells mirror block covers (abtech maybe) he would know anyway. Maybe you can fab something for that bank sensor?
