Radiator Shroud?

I've got an 06 1000RR and I'm fitting it with hotbodies race fairings for the first time. The radiator shroud seems to be a keeper because of all of the electronics mounted to it on the left side. Is there anyone out there who scrapped it? If you did keep it, did you use the original fasteners to secure it to the fairings? It seems like you wouldn't want to fasten it to the bottom of the belly pan, right?

Also, am I expected to chop up the battery tray to get the tail on or am I about to make a mistake?

Bump...

Because I really need some help on this and surely some of you race ninjas have some ideas. It now seems like keeping the shroud is not the common practice, but what am I supposed to with the fuse box and other parts? Zip ties?

I really need to get this done before the game tomorrow. I'm working all week and I leave Friday after work for two track days next weekend.

HELP!
