Who is racing in 2004?

I'm planning to race something other than the RC this year. Who else is racing (and what) in 2004?

Tell me about it. Gotta do a top end rebuild before March and bring my bike back to stock. Got the pipe, just need to do the carb. Cheaper to go back to stock than make it competitive in Super Sport and more competition in stock.

Re: Who is racing in 2004?

We're running in Production (stock) for the second season, just endurance for me, but my teammate runs a few sprints. Competition should be a bit better this year, since there seems to be a pretty big influx of newbies this year.

Dropping the bike off with our mechanic this week for the new top-end. WHOOT!!!

I will do the 3 WERA dates and whatever Fasttrax has in the way of sprints. I would love to do the endurances, but endurance isn't a strong suit these days . . .

Re: Who is racing in 2004?

I'll be running the SV again this year with OMRRA and probably a couple of events with CCS if the finances allow the travel to select tracks. Depending on how the season goes, I may try my hand at endurance racing in Washington. At the end of this season I'll be looking for a newer SV with all the goods or possibly stepping up to a 600.

I'll be racing the 929 (954ish) w/ the AFM again. Maybe a CCS race at Thunderhill or Buttonwillow (where ever they race).

Hey WERA guys. Any observations between CCS & WERA worth noting? I'm sure that both organizations have their pros/cons, but I'd like to hear about first hand experience with either. I've only run one weekend with CCS and am exploring my options.

Thanks!

Don't worry dude you will get there and after your first track day you will be hooked. Then you will brown bag it to work and start using coupon's just to save up to get on the track again.

I just heard WERA will be requiring Timers (you buy your own!). CCS provides them to all racers. Not sure how accurate that is....
