And as far as the Hayden "hype", all I recall is a bunch of genuine excitement over Nicky getting a GP ride, which is what I would expect from a bunch of Honda fans that are members of a Honda message board hosted from the United States. I don't recall anyone saying he was going to slaughter the masses with his abilities.
And it is/was NO different than the Edwards 'hype' that was tossed around both last year and this.

Re: IRTA test @ Catalunya

The Edwards hype was just people happy for him to get into G.P's, but this year, it's warranted. One lap from Rossi (andthe last of the day, so no chance for anyone to better it) means nothing come 26 laps (or whatever it is). They've (Yamaha) have blown several motors along the way to these times, and while it's good to see him up there, it's yet to be seen if he's gonna be there come the end of the race. Like Colin said "Who cares about the car? With the money I win by winning the championship, I'll buy one myself".

Damm that is fast 347kph! I wonder how much faster they will go before the FIM spoil the fun? That is 24kph (15mph) faster than the F1 cars at the same track! Link
