| Interesting quote from Colin There are also a few words of Colin about Rossis importance for HRC.
Colin: “Valentinos Barcelona testimes were impressive. I didn’t guess that Yamaha is improving so much so fast. ….I don’t want to say that HRC is going into the wrong direction with the development of the RCV, but one problem is that Barros has never ridden the 2003-RCV….. Valentino was very precise in development. He told HRC exactly which new components are good and which are crap….. I just want to say without Valentino there ‘re more unanswered questions, no exact statements anymore.”
Wow Baketech, I guess Rossi is quite the Don of development after all |

| Re: Interesting quote from Colin I also liked the recent quote I read (I don't remember where ) that mentioned how it was good for MotoGP that Rossi moved to Yamaha so that it didn't become a boring Michael Schumacher/F1 Ferrari situation. Probably true. I sure didn't expect him to be making a difference so quickly, but I guess nothing the Doctor does should surprise me anymore.

That aside, I bet a sawbuck that you have never personally developed a product, and hence would not understand the process anyway.... Back at ya.....

| Re: Interesting quote from Colin that quote also tells me that HRC isn't listening a whole lot to colin/sete/max/tomada, they are looking to barros (mainly) and maybe nicky for their input on the bikes...
Sucks if you ask me... |

I mean, checa is on the same bike and he and the rest of the yammies are WAAAYY off the pace... |

| Re: Interesting quote from Colin No, I fully realized the development cycle. You've got test riders on the payroll, engineers hard at work, and a team providing data from the bike to the engineers. Baketech had implied that Rossi didn't develop **** when it came to the RC211v. In fact he did, working together with Burgess, the team, and the engineers. It takes all parts to sort a bike. And I was just busting Baketech's balls. From what Colin said, Rossi is actually very good at developing a bike, and he should know (SP1/SP2). |

You read too many rags....if you understood **** about product development, you would know that Rossi's input was minimal compared to the rest of the picture.....they made him feel involved in the process to stroke his massive ego and facilitate him winning the championship...case closed...

The big picture as you put it so eloquently Mr. shitstir, is that Rossi is an integral part of the whole process. In other words, to you, the riders are complete pawns when it comes to development. I beg to differ, they might be at one end of the spectrum, but their expertise, and opinion on bike/part development matters a whole damn lot. But I guess you know more than a two time world championship winner, because your opinion differs greatly from CE's comments above. All hail Baketech
