CCwilli- it just couldn't hang with Miladins machine today though... nothing could. it just seemed like he was messing with the hondas, it was just pissin me off Didn't honda kick ass last year in SBK? *Did suzuki just get that much better over the winter |

Yates wasn't exactly on pole either... Mladin really is a good rider and when his machine is on point and working like he wants, so is he! The gixxer is very very good too... I didn't see the race, but from the way it sounded, it wasn't a blow out, it was close till the end... Margin of victory was small I thought. But yeah, make no mistake about it... The GSXR is AWESOME! | |

| Re: SBK @ RA You aren't going to see anything hang with it this year, it has a clear power advantage. A 1000cc 4 against a 1000cc twin, LOL, one has more cylinders . Wait till next year, Honda will have a new bike, and so will Kawasaki both about 1000cc's. And rumor is Yamaha are once again updating the R1. It will be an even game then. We'll see. |

The only reason they are not running the 954 is because it won't be available next year. The RC51 was the only race platform they had (You can't take a FX bike out there). But with the same R&D available to the 954, it would simply smoke the RC. Unfortunately, it's been a misfit stepchild ever since the AMA screwed Honda and changed the rules after Honda came out with the 929 to keep it under the then 930cc rule. Once it was changed to alow 1000cc 4l motors, Honda found themselves with a race bike platform that handled better than anything that has ever been made available to the public. But ultimately useless because of the 11th hour rule change. The 954 was simply a cheap upgrade (eye candy if you will) for Honda's brand loyal public and a way to recoop some of the catastophic losses due to this unenviable situation. Thus, there was no way they would spend any more money on this outdated model. And are racing the only logical platform they have.
