Re: Aaron Yates is an idiot

Instead of busting his ass doing a burnout, he threw the bike sideways on the cool down lap (he usually does this) and bam right down on the tarmac he goes. * *He did finish well though *

Mod Edit: Kept it from spoiling the results...

Re: Aaron Yates is an idiot

Personally I like Aaron. He's an aggressive, damn fast rider w/ some personnality and he's not afraid to speak his mind. I'm sure his sponsers and the AMA wish he'd keep some of his oppinions to himself, but phuk'em. 'Cruise around' cool down laps and 'i'd like to thank my sponsers....' interviews are boring. Crashing like that (again) after the race is embarassing but at least he's putting on a show. Remember a couple of years ago when mad Max almost looped it coming across the finish line, that would have been real embarrassing.

How did he crash it? doing a burn?
Team boss has got to love him if he has done it before.

Yates is an intimidating guy. And a big guy at that. I'm 6'0, and he scared me as he walked past me after a practice session.

Boring or not, the cost of those superbikes makes his antics expensive to the team owners. I assure you they'd rather just have him wave to the fans than send a very $$$ bike tumbling down the track...again.

Re: Aaron Yates is an idiot

Yes, he is fast for a big guy, but some of his moves on the cool down lap has wrecked two bikes. Well, if you don't have to pay for it I guess is his thinking. I just hope he does not take anyone out in the process.

Re: Aaron Yates is an idiot

i attended the 'pit daddy' contest at VIR at the request of the girlfriend. well, aaron had too much to drink and actually picked up a POLINI, that was being given away as a prize, and threw the pocketbike across the stage everyone was on. shortly after that stunt, aaron was escorted off stage. quite the eye-opener.
