| Re: Italy GP (Mugello) Spoiler Rossi did it again. Bikes are definitely even now, Biaatchi or Capirossi could have won. But the Dr. has more skill, and picked them off. Best race, to me anyways, this season. Edawards got a top ten finish but his bike is POS. And Tamada finished 4th on the Bridgestones, Colin could have had that ride. I'm sure he's not happy about that Barcelona is this coming weekend. |

| Re: Italy GP (Mugello) Spoiler Our boys are doing well.....
From his interview it sounded like young Hayden had to work his azz off all weekend. If this keeps up, Colin will have him in points the next round....
Bummer for Hopper....he's definitely going to have to change his number now......

| Re: Italy GP (Mugello) Spoiler One thing I want to say about this. KRJR is killing Hopkins' hopes. The biggest problem in the Suzuki paddock is KRJR. Hopkins would be awesome if he had a clean race. So far he has been hit by Collin Edwards almost breaking his hand and destroying his controls, had a 3 in hole in his pipe the next race, and then KRJR takes him out.
A little disappointed by Hayden but still pretty good for a rookie. What a great race for crashes huh? I think more people went down in that race in the dry then in the AMA Supersport in the rain. |

| Re: Italy GP (Mugello) Spoiler Agree with you on the KRJR issue....
I was pretty happy with young Hayden's performance...I think it says volumes about his potential. He's eyeball deep in the learning process and still puts the bike in at 12th. The most telling thing though is the gaps compared with hardware...
Here's what he had to say about it.... Quote
Nicky Hayden
Repsol Honda Team: 12th
'Not a lot of fun really. I never really felt comfortable all weekend; especially with the front end of the bike. Not really sure whether it was just the fact that I was trying to learn the place or we really needed to make some big changes there. In the end we kept the front pretty much the same and I tried to ride round it that didn't really work. The race was pretty lonely and I mostly just rode around by myself. All in all a bit of a frustrating weekend. Just gotta look forward to Barcelona and keeping my head down. We ain't lettin' up!'

| For a while it reminded me of the scene in Last Action Hero when oblivious Ah-nolt is driving down the street and everyone behind him is crashing spectacularly.
As much as I admire Rossi, I have to admit I was rooting for Max or Loris.. just for a change. |

| Re: Italy GP (Mugello) Spoiler Did anyone else notice that Biaggi's bike is using the completely different, older nose and upper?
I wonder how much difference the newer air intakes and shape help at high speeds on Rossi's bike.
Sure, he's still the better rider, but I wonder how much more effective his aerodynamics are over Max's.
I can't stand Biaggi, and he's prone to whining so this may be something he whines about if he doesn't get the newer nose piece.
Hayden is still performing better than Honda expected him to. Remember that he has never seen these tracks or been in the European environment. He wasn't brought over to be an instant threat. That's not what Honda wanted or needed. He was brought over to groom these two years so when Rossi leaves, Honda will have their 'Golden Boy'. |

| I don't get this other than the American underdog thing, that we latch on to. People would say the same thing about Jordan, Woods, etc. Enjoy it man, you are watching the best doing his thing and it's something to watch. The talent in GP right now is sickening. Rossi, Capirossi, Barros, Bayliss, Edwards, Hayden, Roberts Jr. (even though I can't stand him), Tamada, Gibernau, I mean it just keeps going and going. And Rossi is beating all of them. I am going to enjoy this ride as long as he is in GP, I'll root for him everytime. He is our Giacomo Agostini. |

| Re: Italy GP (Mugello) Spoiler Speaking of Biaggi, he was whinning about the bike before and after the race. 'It's not as fast as Rossi's, I have no power in 3rd and 4th gear!!!!' Oh man his interview at the end sounded like a 4 year old. Shut up. At the end Loris flat-out beat him. He out rode Biaggi on a development bike that handles for sh!t in comparison.
I give the biggest salute to Tamada for his ride to 4th. I think he's a great rider and being the lone Bridgestone rider, he showed a lot of people what he's made of. He's got a lot of potential as well. Next season it's going to be spectacular when all these people are done learning. Just my .$02 |

| Re: Italy GP (Mugello) Spoiler Crash they talked to Doohan about Biattchi's whining about his lack of accel in those gears. Doohan said something to the effect of 'What else is new?' I laughed my a$$ off, the former world champ taking a stab @ Biaatchi and his whining. Looked like his bike was even par with Rossi's yesterday, Rossi can just ride better. |

| Re: Italy GP (Mugello) Spoiler I think Biatchi's whining will be more subdued this year because in the back of his head I think he knows that Rossi could just say 'swap bikes' and then blister his azz anyway.....

| Re: Italy GP (Mugello) Spoiler I was laughing too at Doohan comments. It was great.
My favorite thing now is to watch Rossi messing with Biaggi. Those 5 laps or so when he was showing the front wheel and just playing, You can almost hear what Biaggi is thinking. Rossi upsets him like no other and can force him into a mistake so well. There's no doubt that Max is a good rider, anyone at that level is good, but he's nothing short of the Kurtis Roberts of MotoGP.
I'd like to see a tag team match up in WWE or some crap like that with Rossi and Damon Buckmaster vs. Biaggi and Jamie Hacking. |

| The best thing was the last 500cc championship. I've got the race on Tape. And I've got the highlight DVD From Duke. They went at it all year. And in one instance, Biaatchi tried to force Rossi off the track with his knee + elbow. Rossi went off the track but held it up. Rossi caught him, leaned over in the turn and flipped Biaatchi off while in the turn, then Rossi won I love that sh1T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it any and everytime that Rossi makes Biaatchi his b1tch! Ever notice that Biaatchi won't say Valentino's name on the podium? He'll say I just couldn't catch the other rider, etc. Never says his name, haha what a b1tch. |

| Re: Italy GP (Mugello) Spoiler It truly is one of the best, I would say rivalary, examples of hatered in sports. I saw that last race as well and I couldn't believe it when I saw it.
There was on occasion that after the race and before the interview they actually threw down. Biaggi had a band aid over his eye and some bruses while Rossi had a some cuts as well. Word was that they fought it out behind the paddock after the race.
Yesterday did you notice that Rossi was hugging and high fiving Loris and had his back to Biaggi the whole time on the stand. I love it too........ |

| Re: Italy GP (Mugello) Spoiler Biaggi quote from MotoGP.com
'Max Biaggi (3rd): `Today I pushed myself to my limit, I don´t think someone could ask me more than this. Third is a decent result but now I really want to win. This morning the warm up was good, this meaning the team was able to solve the engine problems we had yesterday. I made a good start and I tried my best for staying on front but then Rossi came.'
Yes then Rossi came and you folded like a deck of cards.... |

| Re: Italy GP (Mugello) Spoiler Yeah that is the sh1t. Yeah from what I could gather from all that press during the fight was that Rossi cold cocked
Biaatchi one right in his eye. LOL! That guy makes Kletus look like a sweetheart! At the end of the day though, who won the race, and the championship, and who was left complaining? Kletus and Biaatchi should just get it over with and get married, they are made for each other the b1tches |

| Re: Italy GP (Mugello) Spoiler And the reasoning for this, from what I could gather is that Biaggi is Roman, and he feels superior to all other Italians and can't stand it that Rossi, from a small town outside Florance is kicking his butt. Biaggi has a chip on his shoulder that other riders have picked up but only Rossi cares enough to play with. |

| Re: Italy GP (Mugello) Spoiler The interesting part about Sunday's GP was that Rossi went quite a lot faster in the race than he did in qualifying. Yet again he had enough in hand to get away with a goofy start - it amazes me how he repeatedly motors past up to six guys in two laps on a full tank at the start of most races. As Julian Ryder (Sky commentator) says I don't think we've seen him fully extended yet.
Biaggi is a pretty insecure guy, but he tries very hard and dug out some very good results for Yamaha in the latter half of last year. He'd do himself a big favour if he'd just stop complaining - I wathched himself and Rossi down the 1.5km straight and for sure Rossi had no power advantage whatsoever - he could not pull past even out of the slipstream.
Capirossi on the other hand could drive past either of them on the Ducati from that position - just as well that the chassis is not quite there yet and seems to have some front end grip and rear end traction problems. (as does the new WSB 999 this year)
I think his biggest problem is that he never really transitioned from being a 250 rider - he's a wheels in line man and struggles once the tyres start going off. If he pushes any harder he just ends up losing the front.
I gather he's just ordered a Van Den Bosch replica supermoto KTM to try to sharpen up his backing in and power sliding skills. I guess you don't learn too much of that stuff whizzing about Rome on a moped as a young blade.... |
