| AMA Infineon Raceway (SPOILER) Wow! Amazing races. I can't believe Miguel came from so far back in both the superbike race and the FX race. I bet in the superbike race Zemke just screwed up and let off too much. It looked like he probably read his pit board sign and thought he had it in the bag. Too bad, I wanted him to win. Still, any race without Mladin winning is a great race to me. Too bad about E-boz though. I was sitting at turn 2 when his bike slid right up to us. Everyone was cheering for him. Have to think though, Infineon isn't the best place for the Ducati. Tight and twisty.
Edit: Oh yeah, Michael Jordan was there. He walked right by me and up to his box suite in the grand stands. Horrible place to watch the race from but better than being hassled by fans I guess. His riders are horrible though. A lot of the AFM guys beat them.

-Shrub | Zemke just fell asleep. He looks to be Honda's rider (and future) this year. BBoz is out to lunch - I think he's dreaming about rock climbing.
I hope Eboz gets things sorted. He's a better rider than this imo. |

| Re: AMA Infineon Raceway (SPOILER) I felt bad for Eric, but I really think this is directly attributable to Dunlop buying up all the test time. The real advantage Eric would have with the "twin" rules at a track like Sears would be being able to set his gearing since he doesnt' have to use the stock gearbox. With no testing time, that advantage goes away since there's just not enough time to make all the changes and find tires and tune suspension and so on and so forth. Had he been at the test date, I bet the Duc would have been much more competitive. I feel bad for the guy.
I also feel bad for Jake, but hey, he did it to himself....of course, who would have thought Miguel would have put his fastest lap in last But I will say this...Zemke finally stood up to Mladin in race 1 which I think was huge for himself and the rest of the field. Didn't stay there for the long haul, but I think it was important for someone to stand up to him at least for a little bit. I like seeing Mladin win, but not all the time and not by a landslide.
Good for Miguel though....that was an amazing display.... |

| Re: AMA Infineon Raceway (SPOILER) The announcers were concentrating so much on Yates and Mladin at the last lap, then all of a sudden, "DUHAMEL SLIPS PAST ZEMKE!!! " And I'm like, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I think even the announcers thought it was in the bag for Jake. I never saw that coming. Oh well... |

| Re: AMA Infineon Raceway (SPOILER) Props to local fast guy Dave Stanton. Finished 7th in race 1 and crashed out of race 2 while in 6th place. Easily the fastest privateer out there and often matching (or bettering) a few of the top factory guys lap times!! Damn I was bummed when he crashed. Too bad for Jake to, but his day is coming. Miguel has to be one of the smartest riders I've ever seen, he knows how to manage a race. |

| Re: AMA Infineon Raceway (SPOILER) For you folks that were there, was the turnout really grim? On TV the main grandstands looked half full, turn 2 was maybe 1/3 full, and all the others had very few butts in the seats. |

| Re: AMA Infineon Raceway (SPOILER) I agree, that was a shocking finish to the second race. And finally Honda gets a win!! The Zemke-Duhamel "rivalry" has been pretty fun to watch so far this season. |

| Re: AMA Infineon Raceway (SPOILER) Great races, though I agree with the turnout. It's too bad they don't promote it more in the bay area.I think if more people watched it in person, they would get hooked.Great to see Duhamel win,I'm a big fan,the guy seems to have a great attitude. He's not a primadonna like some of the racers out there. |

I usually go to the Sears Point race, but I think its alot better on the television. Unless you get there earlly for good seats, or if its not too hot.
Great second race, Honda finally wins this year. That hard tire is going to be key it seems, Miguel looked awesome at the end of both races.
fl-929, my thoughts exactly with BBoz, probably had his mind on rock climbing. Someone needs to give that daydreamer some Focus Factor, really disappointed with his riding. Great form earlly at Daytona. |
