| Re: How to get 200rwhp without a turbo unit ? An engine is just an air pump. More air in and more out makes more power.
Higher RPM, better flowing heads, cams, exhaust all to match and you get it. GSXR 1000's aren't too hard to get close to 200 (well 180 is easy anyway). We'll see how the new 1000RR responds.

They were putting "well over" 200HP (at the rear wheel)--Ill post a link when I find it

| Re: How to get 200rwhp without a turbo unit ? I've seen the article that 929boomer is talking about, It basically said that with $20,000 worth of HRC stuff, a slipper clutch and some custom gear work, that a 1000RR was making "well over 200hp" , the guy from the mag. said "this is at the crank right?" and the guy from the team said, "I'll just say its a t well over 200hp at the wheel" he wouldn't give exact numbers. From that I would the the 100RR is capable of 200hp with a LOT less stuff then the 954, there is however the bottle. Alot of the race bikes must be torn down after every day of racing for new pistons and rings, if not more. Oh and the little asian fellas in white coats are like motorcycle gnomes. |

| Re: How to get 200rwhp without a turbo unit ? The article is from Australian Motor Cycle News Vol 53 No 19 April 9 - 22 2004
The person who said "Let's just say that its got more than 200 horsepower - and thats at the rear wheel." was Ronald Ten Kate himself. Dutch Courage Article
Unfortunately this article doesn't have the Watzitcost? Panel which lists all the bit but I can tell you that its over $AU30K plus the cost of the 1000RR itself.
