| Re: Isle of Man TT Yeah I would love to go and watch it sometime soon before they permanently put an end to it! Ive heard rumors that 2007 will be the last year (1907 was the first Isle of Mann) Not sure how reliable these are though?

| Re: Isle of Man TT A friend of mine was a nut in the early 80s. He paid to have his bike crated over there from the states. Then stayed over there for like 2-3 weeks. He said back then the whole vacation cost him $4 or 5k, I was in awe. They got to ride the circuit prior, stay for the races, drink beer, and ride some more. I almost fainted hearing that |

| Re: Isle of Man TT Read the 5th paragraph (not counting the opening statement) for an eye opener! 180 deaths!!! I still think it would be a travesty to end this institution. Phucking government do-gooders, always wanting to protect us from ourselves! Leave us alone already! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isle_of_Man_TT |

| Re: Isle of Man TT You guys should definitely check out the DVD One Man's Island if you haven't already. An amazing documentary about a Canadian guy who gave up everything for a chance to race in the TT. The DVD includes unedited on-board video of a lap around the course. Holy crap that's some intense stuff! I'd love to see it in person. |

| Re: Isle of Man TT I heard the same thing, that '07 was the last year for the TT. I want to go next year and will probably ship my TLR over there.
I had a quote of $1100 CDN to ship it, if I crate it here. That's delivered to a bike shop in Birmingham. Then the bike shop wants 150 quid to uncrate it, fill oil, a/freeze, etc and then ready it for shippping again after I leave.
When you consider a friend paid ~$850 CDN 5 or 6 years ago to rent a Triumph 595 for 10 days, that isn't too bad.
Plus, I'll be able to say "I rode her on the Isle of Mann". |

The uncut lap is worth the price of admission in my book. A full 23 minutes of onboard haulin' ass on the Mountain Course, no voice over, just the wind and the motor!

| Re: Isle of Man TT I would say the majority of the reported deaths over here are caused by the fans/visitors ..
Either riding pi55ed or by those who confuse their pub talk exploits with their actual riding abilities.
After all these are public roads with two way traffic - so riding round blind corners on the wrong side full of ale is asking for trouble
its a shame that the minority can cause so much bad press for the place cos its great and i bet you wish you were here !
