I'm not sure whether this new system is fair for the riders but it keeps us spectators on the edge. |

| Re: OH YEAH!... Was that a great GP or what? Accumulative was probably fairer but I think people (fans) according to Dorna could'nt grasp who was actually winning on that system. Be ok if it was at the beginning but so near the end, I dunno. |

Now about the cornerworkers' treatment of Nakano...

I kept waiting for Tamada to wipe somebody out, thank god he went out.
The kawasaki accident looked horrendous, thank god he was ok.
Our commentators did not even know what was going on at the restart so how are we supposed to know |

| Re: OH YEAH!... Was that a great GP or what? Unbelievable....that's all I can really describe it as. I couldn't believe my eyes watching the corner workers try to yank Nakano's helmet off and THEN try to stablilize his neck....what a bunch of freakin morons? Shouldn't they know better? The FIM's got to do a better job working with the tracks to make sure the corner workers understand what they can and cannot do.
So I'm reading it was a tire (Bridgestone) failure that got Nakano and that Tamada also stopped due to a strange vibration from his rear Bridgestone. Freaking crazy at +200mph.
Is anyone else amazed that Xaus kept it on two wheels after the restart? I just KNEW he was going to bowling ball the front 5 or so, but he really did well....who was really under that helmet?
And Rossi...pfttt...what can you say...Unbelievable |

| Re: OH YEAH!... Was that a great GP or what? The race was great!!!I know bayliss is a great rider, but,,,, if leading a GP for a short while qualifies you as a great rain rider, well, I guess Xaus is the man as well. More like they all had WAY less to lose. Not that any of that crap lasted when the adults decided to take over again. Thank GOD Xaus didn't take out all the real GP talent. What a tool. If i saw him come up the inside on me I might crap my pants in fear. I like how he was trying to show Bayliss how he's should be ducati's man!! DORK! Nakano's crash should be an Arai ad. Glad he's okay. GO ROSSI!!!! |

You could just see the laptimes drop when Reuben went to the front. Nobody wants to follow him around a track.
It looks like Troy B. is probably still the only guy who's not completely spooked by Reuben; and he almost got t-boned by him several times when they were in WSBK together.
Excellent racing, gotta tape the replay tomorrow as well. |

| Re: OH YEAH!... Was that a great GP or what? It was a brilliant race marred only by the stupid rule on the rain restart. Why wouldn't they aggregate the times?
Nakano was a lucky boy indeed to survive that close call with the concrete wall not to mention being tumble dried at 300kph.
And how was Rossi's wheelie on the straight at 300+
And I noticed that Max is still whinging that he'd win if only Honda would help him out a bit more or some such crap. |

He isn't really a threat in GP and was surprised to see him closer than 4th or 5th. |

| Re: OH YEAH!... Was that a great GP or what? I think we saw the old Biaggi returning in the interview. Mugello is becoming one of my favourite tracks along with Assen, Monza and PI.
Cant believe the speeds there doin at Mugello bunched up like that, must have alot of confidence in the other riders around them. |

Unfortunately, Bayliss' rain riding abilities don't get him too far. If he rode to a speed where he didn't crash, he wouldn't be so fast. You gotta first finish to finish first. |

| Re: OH YEAH!... Was that a great GP or what? Great race. Clearly Rossi is being challenged, and is still managing to overcome his bike's deficit(s).
I watched the recorded race a couple of days ago, the one that Conq provided the addy to, but decided to finish watching the file, to see what was at the end. My Italian isn't great, so I pretty much skipped through Vale's interview, but I listened to Sete's speech in Spanish and... well... was disappointed to hear that he explicitly blamed his 2nd place on the rain. In his own words, "unfortunately for us, the rain came, and changed everything" (~1:54:00). Seems to me that Rossi was winning, and was more than ready for Sete every time they came into the final sprint for the flag. Sure, Sete would overtake him down the straight, but certainly not before getting to the flag |
