| The official let's help Colin thread Did he take on more than he could handle? I don't think so. Does he try to find something that is wrong to answer for ill results, maybe so. He's still a champion, and far from perfect. On his site, the peeps are showing their support, support him now when he isn't achieveing the results, and show your colors. Tomorrow is another day. May we get a 'Murican' on the podium please? We've got 4, 2 of them I like, and I'm just showing my support of all of them, don't blame me if I'm biased towards one or the other |

| Re: The official let's help Colin thread Oh I'm all for seeing Colin succeed. Talk about a guy who's paid his dues for Honda. Was really hoping this year would be good for him and it still can be. He was running well before the fluke restart. Now if HRC would just give him tier-1 support...

You have to earn that support this year... Sete and Biaggi are the only ones showing they deserve it. Sucks, but those are the brakes this year. I think HRC is right to invest their long term sites on Nicky, this year the intent is to beat Rossi and who-ever shows that they can is going to get the tier one support. |

| Re: The official let's help Colin thread Booth, I'm with ya 110%. I saw your post on the ceracing site, and posted how good it was underneath. I've got no doubt he can and will sort it out, but still, you gotta wonder how after the start of the year, when it was the best bike on the planet, and he was topping all the test timesheets, he's struggling come race day. Personally I think he's just a bit surprised at how easily it didn't come now he's on the Honda. I saw him at PI testing and he was so laid back it wasn't funny. It was like he didn't even know why they were there, the bikes ready, lets race now. But Honda threw the 04 bike curve ball, and that has also gone some way to hindering him. BUT the fact remains, Sete has faced the same probs and is riding way better than him. I think Col has to pick the forks he wants to use, and stick with them until he finds the solution. Once he does, I have NO DOUBT, that everyone will get their arse handed to them on a platter. I just hope he doesn't get shafted by Honda again before he gets the chance to do that. He IS the man. He just ain't showing it yet. |

I have no doubt he can do it. It just takes alot of things working out right to make it happen on race day. I think expectations were high to say the least and that obviously isn't going to work out. But he's Colin, all around good guy and great racer, so he's already a champ in my book.
As far as the doubters, hey, everyone is has an opinion and they are welcome to it. They should just remember that Colin is the one out there doing it while they sit behind a keyboard tappity taping all day. I think threads like this are good (if he ever see's it) to show Colin that no matter win or lose, he's got fans that are going to support him through the ups and downs. Good job Booth |

| Re: The official let's help Colin thread Maybe he's got "big show jitters." I know he was there last year, but there weren't a whole lot of expectations for him. He was riding an Aprilia. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a Mille R, but as far as GP goes, they just don't have it. So if he did well, it was because he was awesome, but if he didn't, it was like "well, look what he's got to work with." No real worries. Now he's on the best (almost) bike, so if he isn't doing well (and everyone is expecting him to) it's all on him. Maybe he needs to work past the pressure before he really starts to do well. |

| Re: The official let's help Colin thread According to the ceracing site, Col has posted his thoughts......and they are, basically, that too much motard riding is the problem. Now while I can swallow that, and it does make sense, he'd wanna prove it from here on in. He does say also that the front end is better (was better after he stopped motard riding) but the motard riding fuks him up. Fine, but don't stop doing motard and still not move ahead, coz then it's just Biatchi type excuses. You won't find a bigger Edwards fan than me, but he's gotta pull his finger out and start riding how we all know he can. |

| Re: The official let's help Colin thread Here are some of the comments... Do you and Sete compare/share set-up data?? Quote: |
Definately. We talk and really from the swing arm pivot point backwards, we are running the same setup. Its just the front i have to get right!
| Pretty damn cool that they get along, I'd bet you won't find that to be the common thing in the paddock among teammates. Has Showa given you any ideas on the front forks?? Quote: |
The forks are sweet, no problems there and the Michelin 16.5's are perfect. The bottom line is the problem is ME!!! I gotta pull the finger out. Technique is the issue, i'm not loading the front at the moment. Hell i used to be the front load motherf@#$er!!!
| Why do you seem to be backing off early into turn 1 of a race and not being aggressive?? Quote: |
Its a confidence thing..i'm being a PUSSY!!
| Dude this is what makes the guy hard not to support. They don't call him a straight shooter for nuttin. |

| Re: The official let's help Colin thread Go Colin go!!
This was one of my favorite days, when he turned around the 2002 season and did not look back! I was pumped that day.. he's racing a touch lot.. he just needs to have one of those days where he decided he does not want to loose anymore like that day and Seca and just start kicking some kiester!!! |

That was one of the best seasons of racing I have ever seen. The Bayless/Edwards matchup was awsome! |
