| Rio - SPOILER 1st - Tomada
2nd - Biaggi
3rd - Hayden
Was surpised to see Sete fall out, even more surprised to see Rossi go the same way not too much later. If anything, this will make for a more interesting season. Tomada did an amazing job, I didn't think he would be able to keep up the pace, but he did it, and just the fact that he finishe din front of Max made it all worthwhile.
Nicky did a great job sticking with the leaders, and he wlel and truly earnt his 3rd spot, and maybe a little more confidence too.

| Re: Rio - SPOILER Just saw the race...that was great. Unbelievable that Rossi and Sete crashed out. Couldn't believe how hard Tamada went so late in the race. Bridgestone must have come up with something.
Go Nicky! (and get a haircut) |

| Re: Rio - SPOILER Im a big Sete fan so it was disappointing when he fell, however I was overjoyed when Rossi went down also. Hopfully they will battle it out next round. Other than that Hayden did a great job and I enjoyed the podium. Tamada really ran a great race and won it fair. |

| Re: Rio - SPOILER Tamada definitely had a very impressive race. I was hoping Nicky could move up to the front, but nice to see him take third anyway. Props to Rossi for still trying to win when he could have gone the safe route and just racked up points, but too bad he went down. |

| Re: Rio - SPOILER The Nelson Piquet circuit in Rio must be very suitable to Makoto Tamada's riding and Bridgestone tires. Because it was here both scored there first podium finish and first win. Some guardian angle must have been in favor for the Honda riders today in Brazil making it a clean sweep at the podiums. The championship remains intact, even after Sete's fall Rossi was unable to gain more points due to his own mishap. Afterwards Makoto paid a tribute to the late Daijiro Kato, who would have celebrated his birthday on July 4th.

No way Max will win the championship...Rossi and Gibernau have been just as consistent, exept for the dnf's...So far Max has been on the podium 5 times and Rossi 4 times, but everytime Rossi was on the podium he was on top

If Nicky has to get a haircut then Biaggi needs to shave that crap off his face. |

I'm happy for Tamada though. He ran a great race. A well deserved win. |

| Re: Rio - SPOILER I'm just happy that it was a good race.
The announcers said it best; that Sete and Rossi both crashed out while fighting behind the lead pack. Max, Nicky, and Tomada were setting the pace and I think the outcome wasn't going to be determined by Rossi or Sete.
I like to see the great ones fall once in a while, it shows that they are still like everyone else. It's how they handle the occasional tumble that will set them apart. |
