Had the WSB riders competed with the AMA riders this year on whatever tire would stop the Biaggi-esque excuses and crying, the podium would most likely been the same as the AMA podium. We would have seen B.Bostrom, Mladin, DuHamel, Zemke in any order in the top four, E.Bostrom, Yates, Hayes and the WSB riders after that. | I was a little confused with some of the talk on this thread so I looked stuff up and found out that Colin Edwards is riding MotoGP this year but I'm assuming he set that track record when he rode WSBK. And any bitching Biaggi does atleast he's doing it in a field of the best riders in the world in MotoGP.

| Re: Laguna Seca First of all, you still didn't answer the Anthem issue. And it's a farce. I remember everyone having a go at Mladin a while back for him whinging abouit exactly the same thing. To be honest, I couldn't really give a flying fuk about it, but my point is, if any other country played an anthem for say CEII, at the G.P, and they played "Country Roads" you'd go fukin nuts at the disrespect of it all. Haha. My point was more about that than what they played. Like i said, couldn't give a rats, it just shows us all again, how sheltered and oblivious to the rest of the world some of the U.S is. I said SOME before you start goin off. hahaha
BDA, I sincerely doubt that about the tyres and finishing order man. And like I said, the tyre rule was for more even racing, NOT for breaking lap records. On another note, I read on the ceracing site that Leigh Diffey ws interviewed recently and was saying that the talk is that the major manufacturers are all gonna bet back behind WSBK in as little time as maybe next yer, if not year after. Makes sense coz I really don't think they big boys (Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki etc) want that series to die. It sells bikes at the end of the day and I think they wanted a year to see where their prospective machines fit in with everyone elses before committing to anything in a major way. But now they can see they're all pretty close, mark my words, WSBK will be back bigger and better than ever. |

| Re: Laguna Seca Yes, the tire spec rule does make for closer racing, but it eliminates wildcard riders. Its always been fun to watch the locals tear it up with the WSB regulars. Tamada got a big jump winning WSB rounds in Japan, and it is fun to see how the national series talent compares, ie Nicky vs. CEII back in 2002.
I agree about the Australian national anthem. Americans would make a big stink if some other contry played America the Beautiful or something else. I wonder who screwed up though, was it WSB or some guy earning minimum wage in the sound booth? If your really bummed Sook, Id be glad to sing your anthem for you? |

| Re: Laguna Seca Okay, am I missing something here? What was the problem with the Australian National Anthem? I heard it played as Chris Vermeulen stood atop the podium.

| Re: Laguna Seca Hahaha That's my whole point. Hahahaha It was Waltzing Matilda, and you think that's what our anthem is. hahahahahaha
It really doesn't worry me about the anthem, I'm just saying. But hey, if you wanna sing it for me then go right ahead. hahahaha I can't wait to see the words you sing. .........
"Waltzing Matilda, waltzing matilda, you'll come a waltzing matilda with me" hahahahaha. Who cares. Lets just get back to bikes.
WSBK is gonna be awesome either next year or the year after. Mark my words. |

WSBK is gonna be awesome either next year or the year after. Mark my words. | No actually, I was expecting to hear "Waltzing Matilda" but instead heard something else. I went out on the web and found a music sample of "Advance Australia Fair" and recognized it as the song they play at the track. That's why I don't understand your argument. I was there, at the track and heard them play the "Advance Australia Fair" music and not "Waltzing Matilda".
Anyone else there who can collaborate my story?
