| Tobacco sponsorship going away Remember when everyone barked at Rossi for being anti-tobacco, but having no choice, so he could get a factory ride? Looks like he will be having the laugh instead of you Noyes article from Speed |

| Re: Tobacco sponsorship going away Pretty Fu($#*ing stupid that a legitimate and legal corporation can't advertise their legal product where they want, yet over-zealous governments can target certain industries they want to and blast anti-(whatever their pet peeve is) at everyone, whether they want to hear it or not.
God Bless free speech and freedom of the press.
Your favorite industry is next. |

| Re: Tobacco sponsorship going away Oh, I don't blame Rossi for sticking to his guns. I personally find smoking disgusting, and wouldn't want to be a bilboard for it either, but the industry should be allowed to sponsor teams and riders if they so choose without some government nazi groups controlling everything they do and say. |

| Re: Tobacco sponsorship going away It's circular logic. If tobacco disappeared in the US tomorrow, the Federal and state governments would, quite simply put, be out of business. In Michigan, they just tacked on another .75 per pack state tax (on top of Michigan's 2.71 there already). That translates to over 3.46 million dollars per day in Michigan alone. Think they could take the 1.3 billion dollar annual hit anytime soon?
The legislators all want to be perceived as "anti" tobacco because it's politically correct, while in reality they dread the day everyone quits smoking. |

Part 2 is up. Notice that Noyes says that Rossi will unlikely be part of Yamaha after next year, and he also mentions F1 for Rossi in '06, very interesting as he isn't like Motorcyclenews in England, his opinions and judgement are very concrete, and he is a solid journalist that doesn't simply 'hype' things up. |

Part 3 above.
I guess we'll see Rossi in Factory Yamaha Blue next year, BDA should know that it will be the same color as his dreambike I'm sure Honda will follow as well |
