| Re: Donnington GP qualifying, Nicky fans rejoice! The rivalry is back, this is from MotoGP.com Quote:
Max Biaggi and Valentino Rossi’s intense rivalry is back on the boil, with the tension between the two riders already starting to show just four days after Biaggi moved to within one point of his great rival’s title lead at the Sachsenring on Sunday.
Biaggi was clearly unhappy at having to sit next to Rossi at the pre-event press conference for the Cinzano British Grand Prix and the atmosphere turned even more hostile when the two riders were asked if they had exchanged trophies after last year’s late decision to punish Rossi with a ten second penalty for overtaking under a yellow flag, with Biaggi being awarded victory after the podium ceremony.
“I’m waiting for this… still waiting,” revealed Biaggi.
“It is still in my house,” added Rossi with a smile.
“Soon I will take it back and give him second,” concluded Biaggi curtly.
The pair were then asked if the championship would be decided in the final round, with Biaggi commenting: “Maybe, yeah… I think so. I think it may be the last race. I hope so because it will be interesting and it will be full of much more people than before.”
Rossi agreed with his compatriot, but was quick to remember another title contender not at the press conference but still very much in with a shout on the destiny of the big prize. “I think it’s possible because after eight races there is just one point so maybe we arrive to fight the championship in Valencia. Maybe also together with Sete.”

| Re: Donnington GP qualifying, Nicky fans rejoice! From ceracing.com, he says that they have found a solution to the drive problem and have something to fix the front end tomorrow (today, Q2) so he SAYS that P2 and Q2 are where it's ALL gonna happen. Can't wait to see that. I just hope they have found something and he doesn't hit reverse 5 minutes from the end of Q2. Haha.
Go COLIN. |

| Re: Donnington GP qualifying, Nicky fans rejoice! Go Colin!!! From what I've read Colin and Rossi are the ones that have been able to put out the most consistant fast laps on race tires....If he can get a good start from 2nd row and he should be able to hold on for a good finish! |

I got a sneaky feeling the Colin is going to get to the top of the box sooner than later....

| Re: Donnington GP qualifying I was lucky enough to attend the GP practice on Saturday with a pits and paddock walk (organised). The Hondas looked awesome relative to the other bikes, but Rossi just manhandled that Yam to the top of the pile. Sadly, my photos aren't digital so cannot post some close-ups of the bikes. You think on TV the quality of the bikes is high, but seeing those polished pieces of top-class engineering up close sets the wow factor ten degrees higher.
Having not been to a MotoGP for some time, I really enjoyed the varied sound of the bikes thanks to the differing engine layouts. So much better than the monotonous F1 car noise. Those V5s sound great! |
