| Re: Hayden to Yamaha? Hayden has really made some good progress this year. I think being Val's teammate again will be VERY beneficial to him as a learning tool. Assuming the Yamaha is getting close to Honda with Val's development, I think Hayden might actually be better off at Yamaha. |

| Re: Hayden to Yamaha? Hayden's biggest roadblock with Honda is the good old "ride it to our standards, even if that means changing your riding style" that is so prevalent there. He has overcome many huge obstacles in GP in a year and a half, and would be doing even better if he were allowed to change the bike to his liking more. Maybe Yamaha would allow that.
That said, Honda wanted him to be their new long term "golden boy", and is progressing rapidly into that.
I don't think the move would be the right thing, but there is a whole lot nobody knows but them. |

HMMMM nah. Even though it looks like HRC chose him for their leader since he had the new exaust and who knows what else to try give him the advantage. |

Barros is on his way out. I really don't think he has a real shot at the championship again.
Nicky is young, has plenty of talent, and is on his way up. I really think Honda will keep him and let him develop a bit more into a winner and real contendor for the championship. |

Hayden has only been around 1.5 seasons and he is really improving. Granted he hasn't hit the top of the box yet but he will |

| Re: Hayden to Yamaha? IMHO Nicky has done fine for his circumstances. Even with being on the Honda, podium finishes aren't a given at that level. As for Barros being their only other hope? Gibernau should be on the Repsol team, getting first crack at everything he wants. Hopefully Colin will get up there as well. There will be other contracts up at the end of the year, so who knows?

#17 | | | Re: Hayden to Yamaha? Someone already said it...Honda realized that Nicky would take a little while to grow into his new Moto GP skin, then go on to be one of the top Moto GP riders. So far, he's shown that he is very consistent, and smooth while picking up time on the top 3. Nicky is a smart young lad, he'll stay with Honda and make his Moto GP dreams come true . | |

Rossi, Gibernau, Numb Nuts I mean Biaggi |

| Re: Hayden to Yamaha? I doubt he will leave Honda. You don't leave the best team ever, unless your kicked off for bad riding, or you leave for a challenge like Rossi. Lets face it the only man with the talent to win on a Yamaha is Rossi, you don't pursue a ride that you have little to no chance at winning. Unless Nicky knows something we don't know, like next years Yamahahaha is a fire breathing V5 killer, hes not going leave the best thing to ever happen to him. If he does leave and sign with Yamaha, then he is a moron. That said I hope he stays at Honda. |

| Re: Hayden to Yamaha? Whatever he decides, I'm behind him 100%. In Moto GP Honda is all about the bike, not the rider. "Look what this bike can do", they never really talk about "look what our rider can do". So, if he leaves good for him, he has plenty of talent. Plus with Rossi bringing the Yamaha up speed, I believe it will be much easier for Nicky to make the transition than we think. |

I think he just has that kind of skill that no matter what you put him on he has the will master it.
There was an article last yr in sport rider all about him and his transition. They were saying that he has the drive to do anything and I think that is going to really show next yr no matter what team he rides for. |
