Oh...Steeda, sure, sure...it's a Steeda. It's got an aftermarket air freshner (ocean breeze), aftermarket coffee stain, some weird smell from under the seat, and a spot in back for the aftermarket baby seat. Colin Edwards can kiss my ass with his Shelby.

The Boss 429 was in the 69/70 body which I believe is just a wee bit larger.

Yeah.. just a tad. Even the 67' (in which big-blocks started to appear) have a lot more room between the towers than the 64.5 -> 66. Look at my pic. That's a small-block stuffed in there, motor mounted about as low as it will go and those big-fat BOSS heads put the exhaust ports right up on those towers. I'd be shocked if you could get a Cleveland in the first getn pony bodies (I've never researched that).

You *can* do it but you have to cut some metal, somewhere to get her in there.

I've done 3 of them...it just takes a little work to keep them low enough to require no hood scoop, a fabbed oil pan here, custom set of headers there, yadda yadda... Without resorting to drastic measures, you are limited to low rise intakes. If you want a hi-rise, then you have to use a nice teardrop or the like.... Sleeper engine swaps were the rage in my day, and I still have a little soft spot for that approach...

Now, if we're talking wood, how about an ash-framed Morgan or an early plywood-framed Marcos, both with the ex-Buick Rover aluminium V8.

Or did I misunderstand?
