| His Airness....Just what the sport needs Since some schmuck in NY won MY 1000RR, I have no reason to watch TWT anymore....but I will catch the August 31st show on which Greg plans to feature His Airness, that's right, the king himself, Michael Jordan and his plans for next year....check out the link
I am glad to see a world famous figure give the sport his backing and it appears as if he has a genuine interest....GREAT maybe this is the first step in helping the sport gain more interest here in the States and steal some as ASSCAR's thunder

I would rather see moto-roadracing remain a 2nd-3rd tier sporting event. Ticket prices are cheap, I can walk thru the pits at will, the riders are accessible....it's perfect the way it is....
Not bashing Nascar, but the last thing I want to see is some of their "success" rub off....

One of the reasons I love the sport so much is b/c the riders are accessable and "real" (mostly). I can relate to them. Whereas, NFL players might as well be from Mars.

so there are 3 reasons I can think of as to what would make Montez Stewart better:
1) get rid of that Carolina blue crap
2) get rid of HD VR1000 superbike team
3) get rid of Yamaha

Copyright 2004, Roadracing World Publishing, Inc.
Jason Pridmore will be sponsored by Michael Jordan Motorsports and will carry Jumpman and Michael Jordan Motorsports logos on his Suzukis during upcoming AMA National weekends at Road Atlanta and VIR.
Pascal Picotte has been running Jumpman and Michael Jordan Motorsports logos on his Canadian race machines since he substituted for injured Montez Stewart at Road America in June. But Pridmore--who has been golfing with Jordan several times and recently hosted the basketball icon during a televised session of his STAR riding school at Gingerman Raceway--has the inside line on picking up 2005 season sponsorship from Jordan. Pridmore hopes to campaign a works Suzuki Superbike in Jumpman colors.
Pridmore has also been working with the team as a rider coach for Montez Stewart, team owner and manager James Casmay, Jordan and other team affiliates, making time available at the STAR Schools in Colorado, Elkhart Lake, and Gingerman. Private instruction in the classroom and on the track has been included in the sessions.
Casmay recently requested an upgrade of his CCS race license from Amateur to Expert status, after winning several regional races earlier in the season. He finished fourth in his first Expert class race, at Gingerman on the weekend of August 1st.
Montez Stewart, a personal friend of Jordan, will continue to campaign the team's Yamahas at Road Atlanta and VIR. Linky Dinky do

Michael Jordan came to Jason Pridmore and offered to help him after hearing that Pridmore was out of money and couldn't finish the 2004 AMA season.
Pridmore started the year as a rider for No Limit Motorsports, but the team said it was too expensive to race in Formula Xtreme and bailed out just prior to the AMA National at Barber Motorsports Park. That left Pridmore scrambling to race under the banner of his STAR school, but the program ran out of money and Pridmore planned to stop racing after the Mid-Ohio round.
Which is where Jordan came in, offering to help Pridmore, following a game of golf.
"I’m not sponsored by Michael Jordon Motorsports," Pridmore told Roadracingworld.com Tuesday. "MJ just decided to help me. I’ve just become really good friends with MJ, and pretty much, I’ve been trying to keep it kind of quiet.
"Ohio was gonna be my last race of the year, because we were just out of money. As it turned out, when I was at Ohio, MJ asked me if we playing golf Monday, and I kind of hung out in Chicago for the better part of the month, because we had some schools in the area. I've gotten to be pretty good friends with him, played some golf, all those guys. MJ kind of caught wind at Ohio, when he heard I was in some trouble for the last couple rounds, and he offered to help me. It was really nice of him. He’s helping me as a personal friend and not as Michael Jordan Motorsports. He offered to help me out as a friend."
As for a Michael Jordan Superbike program in 2005, Pridmore said, "Nothing's even going along that road right now. He’s been helping me as a friend, I’m hanging out with these guys because they’re good friends, golfing and stuff, a lot of fun."
Jordan is known to be interested in fielding an AMA Superbike program in 2005, but Pridmore said he hadn't discussed that with Jordan.
