Superbike = Highly modified liter class
Superstock = Mostly "Stock" liter class
Supersport = Mostly "stock" middleweight
Formula Extreme = "Baby Superbike" ie- Highly modified middleweight. |

HD | I watched the Superstock from mid ohio last night and they mentioned that about the rear shock finally being sorted out. |

Superbike and Formula Extreme = what is highly modified? Exhaust or is there major motor work?
Superstock and Supersport = mostly stock? what are they allowed to mod?
Also, is middleweight a 600 or 750 class? Or are they both allowed? It does not seem fare that both classes are allowed to partisipate. I did not think that Honda has a 750 class bike. |

Mostly stock as in exhaust, gearing, suspension work
Honda doesn't have a 750. It's mostly for the Ducati's since the "character" doesn't make up for the extra HP that's needed |

| Re: The return of Ben Spies... So where does world superbike fit in? Those bikes are not the same as MotoGP. I know that a couple of races ago a Honda won a WSB race. I think the rider was chris vermillen(sp?). how are those bikes tricked out? |

I heard stock block, pistons, rods, decked/flowed head. Stock valve material and dia but reworked for better breathing. Custom cams. PC3r. Then suspension. Pretty nice.
Claims it makes 205 at the rear wheel which I can see. You can buy a street version with 180hp at the rear wheel but it'll cost ya 30k..... |

I believe FIM whereas in the states it is AMA. The rules are similar, but may vary. The important thing is that the "concept" is essentially the same. |
