AMA Races [Spoiler]

So who went to the AMA races?

Conrats to Tommy Hayden on his first AMA Championship, and Mladin on his 5th superbike championship. This guy really earned my respect this year.
Congrats to Aaron Gobert on winning the SuperStock championship.

How can you forget Duhamel? 3 wins in one day?!?! FX Championship?! Pretty cool. The guy is fast.

How about Doug Chandler on the box for HMC Ducati in FX?

HD

There was no anticipation, or buildup for the last race AMA weekend. The only class that might have had any drama was superstock. Superbike, supersport, and FX were all pretty much over with.

Besides, the MotoGP championship, despite being all but decided, still is interesting because of the dynamic that now exists between Rossi and Gibernau/Honda. And of course, whether or not CE will ever break through the "chatter barrier".

cbriderdan and I went, it was great. The Yamaha guys kicked ass in the supersport race. Duhamel rode great in both Superbike races, but he really laid the smack down in second one. I haven't really followed the FX racing this year, but Duhamel did do massive burnout in winners circle though and we had a front row seat!

Re: AMA Races [Spoiler]

I'll be curious to see Race 2 of the Superbike Race. I hear Mladin jumped the race BADLY. So, he got black flagged and had to serve a stop and go penalty. He went from dead last to fourth! Damn, that's impressive.

Oh, and I expect Mladin to get his 6th Superbike Championship with the new Gix coming out.

I caught Drebber putting Lanzi on a Yamaha in WSS, but Parts Unlimited hired just for this race.

I checked, and Speed doesn't have a rebroadcast listed, although they have Qatar coming up again.

Re: AMA Races [Spoiler]

They showed the Qatar 125 race yesterday for the first time I think.

Drebber's cohort.... who was it? Freddie Spencer? He kept correcting Drebber on stuff when he would screw it up. Then they totally missed a couple passes until well after they happened. One pass he totally called wrong. "Duhammel goes through on the inside! And that was Aaron Yates making the pass right there!"

Moron!
