Ben Spies does the same thing. Look at the corners in the pics. Bet that has something to do with it, cause he is way down but the tire still has a nice contact patch

THe one from VIR is more impressive to me b/c the curbing isn't as sever and the track isn't as banked.

A couple of local club racers drag elbows. Turn 4 at T-Hill seems to be a hot spot for that.
