You get to see the races live and you get to see a lot more before and after video as well. I thought it was worth it.

It's the only way I have to see the races, so it's well worth it to me. Plus they have an archive of past races in case you need a quick fix. It's not for dial-up though.

I think it's around $20 US, for everything except live coverage. Probably around $30 to include live coverage. Or you can buy individual races for a couple of dollars each. The races are usually available a couple of hours after it's over, so if you can wait you can save a few dollars.
