| Female superbiker Looks like the male dominated AMA superbike series is going to get its first taste of what a lady can do. http://www.speedtv.com/articles/moto...perbike/14670/
On a similar subject I caught Nicky Hayden on Two Wheeled Tuesday a couple of weeks back and they asked him if he thought there'd ever be a female MotoGP rider and he actually said "we've already got Biaggi."
Wow did that take balls. |

| Re: Female superbiker I grow tired of this fawning of anybody different. She's a lady and she races who cares. If she wins congratulations, if not she needs to get better. Same as everybody else. And unlike the old days when there was artificial barriers the only thing stopping a lady, man, <insert race, creed, etc> from racing is getting their tail to the track.
That said good luck to her (the same for any new racer)

Cause I do, if, IF, IF she has the numbers to back up the sponsorship. You look at what's happening in PGA golf with that Teeny Bopper from Hawaaii. She's getting into men's professional tournaments because of her age and her gender. Two weeks ago, there was a man, from the same state, who couldn't get into a tournament IN that state because she was there.
Basically, what I'm saying, if this young lady is good enough on that ZX10 to justify her sponsorship, to her. If she's getting in because it looks good on Team Green to have a female there?? She has no business.
HG, HG2, Alex, Princess, I would appreciate your comments on this. |

I wish HER well and don't doubt her intentions to race are as pure as the next rider. Rather I tire of the media, tracks, organizers that act like it matters whether she is a she.
Oh and for the pervs, yes she is a nice looking lady.

HG, HG2, Alex, Princess, I would appreciate your comments on this. | Agreed. From what I understand, which is admittedly limited, she deserves to be there. I'd have to look into that further to be sure, though. It would be great to see more women at that level, but they aren't there, for whatever reason. I think part of it is that motorcycling is still predominantly a man's sport, but that is changing as statistics show a big increase in the number of women within the past few years. The men at that level started riding practically when they learned to walk. Women of the same age group didn't. It wasn't a "girl's" sport. It wasn't as acceptable. Since more women are now getting into the sport, and it isn't seen as something "girls don't do", perhaps in future generations we'll see more women competing at that level. |
