Re: Daytona 200 and Superbike Races ***SPOILER***

Great start...Hodgson first into T1, but Yates and Mladin passed him and are pulling away from the pack.

edit: Mladin now checking out...

edit: Race over...Mladin walked away from everyone. Hodgson held on for second, and Spies took Yates at the finish to take third. Pretty boring race actually...

My thoughts exactly...the guy is unstoppable. Zemke was able to do pretty well after a poor qualifying...even passed Miguel.

Jake REALLY hurts himself with his horrible starts....he needs to take himself to the strip and get that down.

Good Superbike race. Start was a little hairy with Hodgson almost taking Mladins front wheel out, Dam he missed . Looks like Matt is going to have some challengers this year.

HeavyD, your right Spies looks like the real deal. Look out in the future.

I wished they would have shown how the battle for third ended up instead of showing Mladin's crew jumping around. I never did see who ended in third until I read it on here. I figured Spies would draft by to snag third but they never did show it.

Re: Daytona 200 and Superbike Races ***SPOILER***

Getting ready for the start of the 200. Could be an interesting race with a lot of bikes on the grid and varying degrees of talent and crew support...

Front row:
1. Duhamel
2. Zemke
3. Hayes
4. Roberts

EDIT: 71 riders!!

Roberts bumped Duhamel at the start and was first into T1.

Miguel wins again! Great racing and quick pits. Kleatus came in second with Jake getting third. The race seemed to take a loooong time...

edit: Couple of youngsters put in a good showing too...Eslick (age 18) finished 4th, Ferrer (age 16) finished 15th to name a few.

Good pics, Chain. Ben Spies' riding position looks almost painful, but the guy sure makes it work.

I know! I don't know how he doesn't fall off the damned bike!

Roger Lee Hayden powering out of that turn and up on the back tire is a pretty kick arse photo as well.

How about dude crashing while in sixth place with only eight laps to go. He went back out to finish with no windscreen!

I tried to tell you guys that Hodgson was going to be a force to reckon with on that fine Ducati! Newbie to the track and gets on the podium!

Re: Daytona 200 and Superbike Races ***SPOILER***

I don't know, but this seemed to me to be one of the best Daytona races I've seen in a long time. The new track layout has helped immensely to make the race much more exciting. The addition of pit stops, at least for me, has made things more technical and has brought about the strategy of 'how to win' back to the game!

This was one of the most entertaining races I have seen! I hope they continue! I might plan to be at Daytona next year,...

We went to the Boot Hill Saloon but couldn't get in as it would violate fire codes if I took my fat butt in there at the time. I only wonder if the locals remember when I followed my bud onto the sidewalk to get around traffic way back in 1983?

Man..I hope for riding weather soon!

That elbow is pretty damn high.

anyone notice how many errors there are in the little descriptions. There's one of Tommy Hayden where they say he's on the new ZX6RR but he's on a ZX10R. There's another one where it says TH is defending his SuperSport title in 2005, this might not be an error because they don't actually say what he's on but its his superstock ZX10R. There's a pic of Jash Hayes on what they say is an Attack Suzuki but its a ZX10R. There might be more, I didn't look at all pics.

I felt bad for Hayes in both races today. Blew the superbike engine and then had electrical problems with the fx bike.

If Roberts crew hadn't had such a hard time with that front wheel, it would have been an incrdibly close finish.

But I do agree, Miguel is simply a force of nature.
