| Anyone been to an AMA superbike race? They are having one next month in Birmingham which is about 5 hours away. I would love to go to one but I didnt know if it was worth driving that far. The only other one I would have an option to go to is in Atlanta in september. | |

| Re: Anyone been to an AMA superbike race? I see them each year as a corner worker one day, than as a spectator the next. You gotta see them! It is a real eye opener for anyone who rides a motorcycle. It is very impressive. I first saw them at Laguna Seca way back in the 80's, and I been loving sportbikes ever since. I've also went to Laguna in 2003 and had the time of my life(we all know why). As Zippy says they are an eye opener for sure. It's amazing what some of these guys can do on a bike. Dano |

It was even more fun spending the next two days after the races riding the same track for CLASS. | Re: Anyone been to an AMA superbike race? I've spectated at Road Atlanta, Road America, Mid-Ohio, Barber, and Laguna Seca. I've raced at Road America and Barber. It is amazing to watch the pros do it after you've been on the same track. Those backmarkers that the factory guys are always complaining about? They're still frickin' fast!

I've been to mid Ohio and road Atlanta in the last few years for AMA, I was going to go to Barber this year, but, I needed to get the last step of my graduated licence that week  I think that we had better track position in road Atlanta but ohio was a LOT more fun at night and a lot cheaper for camping/food and treats(got my fabri screen for $50 or $60 ) |

| Re: Anyone been to an AMA superbike race? My buddies go up to Road America on Thursday and stay until Sunday afternoon. It is excellent..... we camp out, hang around the fire. Last year we went out to dinner with Geoff May ..... great guy and talked about racing and being a privateer.... well I guess that is not an issue any more. |
